I am a writer and a musician. I used to do the former for a living, but there's just not enough money in it to survive. I now do it for my own pleasure and for the pleasure of those who enjoy my words. The latter is also a personal hobby these days. I play the trumpet, piano and guitar. I marched for four years with the University of Arkansas Razorback band and had a blast. I think it was probably one of the happiest times of my life, because I was able to tour the South, play great music, perform for 72,000+ people on a weekly basis and spend time with a great group of people.
I had lived a little bit of everywhere, but right now, I call Tulsa, OK home. I love Broadway. I absolutely adore musicals, and I an obsessive about old movie stars. If I could marry Robert Preston or Cary Grant, I would. Julie Andrews rocks. Music is essential to my life, as is reading.
My dog, Bailey, is the light of my life, and my cat Lucky keeps me on my toes. Literally. She chases me around the house. To top it all off, I am blessed with a great family and a precocious 5-year-old nephew who can already sing the songs in "Mary Poppins." Awesome.
